What if I’m out when my order is delivered?
All orders require a signature on delivery. If you're not in when the delivery driver calls they will normally leave a card to contact them to arrange a suitable time to deliver.

Can I ask for it to be left somewhere?
If you would like the package left somewhere or with someone else you will be able to leave your instructions as you ‘checkout’ and pay for your order. Please note that a delivery driver can’t be held responsible for loss or damage where they've followed your instructions.

Can I arrange for it to be delivered somewhere else?
A delivery driver can’t redeliver to another address (except a neighbour) if you're not in. You can leave instructions as you ‘checkout’ and pay for your order.

Can the courier call me so I can meet him?
You will not be able to intercept the parcel when it is en route from the local depot to your delivery address. A delivery driver will only attempt delivery at the address he has been given.

I’ve not received my order, what should I do?
If we advised you that your order was despatched, but delivery is overdue according to the delivery method that was used, you should first of all try to locate your order on the carrier’s tracking site using the consignment tracking number we gave you. If you have no success, please don’t hesitate to contact the Sales Office.

The parcel is damaged, should I accept the delivery?
If a parcel is clearly damaged, you can ‘reject’ the delivery and request that the carrier returns the parcel to Altec. Please contact the Sales Office to advise us of the situation.
On receipt of the goods back at our warehouse, we will contact you to arrange a replacement despatch. Normally you will be credited (or refunded) for the returned goods, and then be re-invoiced (or have your card charged again) for the fresh despatch.
If the parcel is damaged, but you would like to inspect the contents more thoroughly, you can sign for the parcel and add the word ‘damaged’.
Once opened, the delivery driver will not accept it for return, and you will need to contact the Sales Office and follow the returns procedure that is explained to you.
